I started carrying a small camera two months ago, as a complementary tool to my sketchbooks. I wanted another way of fixing things, rapid enough to not interfere too much with the body rhythm, when moving around - The main reason for picking up a camera, instead of pigments and other art tools. Taking the time required to do an observation study is not always a feasible plan, especially outdoors.
Following the logic of my other posts on this blog, unretouched drawings, studies, I have decided to not crop, edit, contrast, these photos. I couldn't care for making them nicer afterwards, it's never been my point. So far, I am mostly dealing with composition - Colors and values are often happy-go-lucky as i'm learning all about this new way.
Anyway, the practice is on :)
